ago a month, when The Spectator became known through chronicles his director, Fidel Cano Correa, the partnership between the newspaper and Wikileaks, a sector of the national public opinion was encouraged by the revelations that the organization, led by Julian Assange could bring to the country. Since then, the media highlighted the scoop ostentatious way of cables that Wikileaks had on Colombia, and made a structural deployment to support the flood of information coming uphill. Wednesdays were set aside for leaks involving national policy and web portal aside a section dedicated to the topic.
The revelations were immediate: paramilitary links upper echelons of national politics, distrust between Alvaro Uribe and Hugo Chávez, relations between the DAS and demobilized members of the "extinct" United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia and attempts to silence political opposition, not only persecution orchestrated by the government, but with counter-claims 'diplomatic'.
The reader will look suspicious with some suspicion the preceding paragraph and if you stop to watch a little make an unavoidable question: What revelations? Many of the cables related to Colombia are a confirmation of 'public secret', shouting truths which had already been disseminated not only by El Espectador, but news that even (albeit with less coverage) are related to the government.
However, the stain of these new publications is different now. They are Jorge Robledo, and Daniel Coronell, much less Piedad Córdoba that are concerned about the deterioration of the institutional national. It is the government of the United States through their ambassadors and State Department stated (in secret of course) the seriousness of the facts mentioned above.
Wikileaks has served, then, as the fan that helps to spread the rotten stench of a pot open much earlier. And there are so many directions of spread of plague, that those who we feel how we smell the rot will spread cushioning the more and more people.

This disinterest is almost à déj vu, something known to our country, the mirror of our reality. Is a product of the same attitude that sparked fury by dogs and owls, by peasants killed by journalists pursued and children raped by politicians bought by corrupt businessmen, and negotiated tenders. All these situations do not sound today, no offense and apparently hardly matter.
Wikileaks is a chapter of our forgotten history, written every Wednesday with great fanfare, but at this rate will disappear, because in Colombia the concern for victims, corruption and abuse revived only when movie times poignantly tell of the reality of everyday life.
is why today, weeks after the famous meeting with Fidel Cano Julian Assange, we are witnessing the repeated neglect of our society. That illusory hope of finding in the hand cables we remove the blindfold has been to see. Wikileaks And meanwhile, with its depth developer, has completed a double and valuable work: to confirm the rot in our country and, incidentally, confirm the weakness of our public and emotional people.
